Referees play a vital role in Touch Football, ensuring our game is played in a fair, safe and enjoyable environment for all participants.  Becoming an accredited Referee is an important step in ensuring that you are equipped with the knowledge of the Rules of the game, as well as the latest on-field game information and skills to manage and create a safe and enjoyable environment for all.  Refereeing is also a great way to remain fit and active whilst participating in our game... and did we mention, all our Referees get paid!!!

Southern Touch, in conjunction with Touch Football Tasmania and NRL Touch Football, run regular accreditation courses year round as well as additional coaching and development opportunities for all Referees.

  • Sun 10 Oct - Foundation Referee Course
  • Sat 16 Oct - Talent (Level 2) Referee Course
  • TBC Fri 10 Dec - Talent (Level 3) Referee Course


A pre-requisite to attending any Touch Football Referee accreditation course is the completion and attainment of the ASC Community Officiating General Principals certificate (a FREE online course), this is a requirement for all new Referees as well as any past Referees who have yet to have completed.
